What’s Included in Your NHLMA Genetic Kit

Your Test kit includes everything needed to analyze your unique genetic response to hair loss treatments and supplements.

Each kit contains:

  • Sterile cheek-swab collection swab

  • Step-by-step sample collection instructions

  • Specimen tube (Name tag included to fill out and affix on tube)

  • Requisition Form (Must be filled in before mailing)

  • Pre-labeled return packaging

  • Collecting your sample is quick, painless, and non-invasive.

    How it works:

    1. Use QR Code on provided instruction card in test kit box to complete a short questionnaire in order to complete your testing. It is important you choose the proper hair loss type. If questions, please call our office (602) 283-2355 prior to submitting survey.

    2. Do not eat, drink, or brush your teeth for at least 30 minutes before collection

    3. Use the provided cheek swab

    4. Gently rub the inside of each cheek in an up and down motion for 60 seconds

    5. Place the swab into the specimen tube (Make sure sticker with name is affixed)

    6. Put sealed tube in the Specimen bag and Ziplock.

    7. Fill out Requisition and tuck in open pocket of specimen bag.

    8. Seal well and return using the provided packaging

    No blood draw is required. The entire process takes less than 5 minutes.
